A friend gifted me a chunk of the most stunning curly cherry that I have ever seen. It was in log form, so I milled it up and had just enough material to make two Tenor Ukes. I did not have quite enough to make them both in the standard shape, so mid-stream I had to decide to make a "Pineapple" style body. It made for an interesting side-by-side comparison.

The lumber is truly lovely. Hard to work with, because of the curl. Hand planes did not like it so it was a lot of scraper work. But I was really happy with how they turned out. So gorgeous.
